The story behind this tune can be easily made up. However it happened in reality, albeit too distant to recollect genuine memory of past events.

A mysterious synthesizer performer presumably using a workstation unit made an appearance on unidentified Soviet television program in late 80s. He played three tracks, two of which were recorded to audio tape on repeated broadcast. By misfortune one and half were accidentally erased.

The surviving track was copied on different tapes and later digitized in then-developing mp3 format to preserve music from degradation.

You are about to witness what was left, unprocessed track on floppy disk and remastered variant for streaming and digital download.

The name of the musician is 94% true. He is a real person who probably will listen to this composition with you.
