Centiweekend # 8 of 19

Since Theme’s 2014 LP, No Emotions Catered For, released on Idioblast and featuring the core duo of Stuart Carter and Richard Johnson accompanied by a range of collaborators, the group took a step back for a short while to focus on other activities (music and beyond) before returning to ideas for the next set of recordings during 2015. These were then themselves realised between late 2016 and spring 2017 and saw the group stripped down to the core in order to hopefully pay justice to a comparatively more direct approach to their music. These recordings saw light as an extremely limited promo CDr album package later that same year, Sacral Blood Warning, on Fourth Dimension Records/Idioblast. These recordings will be expanded for a proper version of the album in 2019 which will be accompanied by some live work.

The current sound reflects the desperation and despair at the way the world now is filtered through a mesh of observational words and raw, often untamed, energy sometimes drawing from their more alchemical past as sonic shapeshifters.
